The Opportunity: This Reliability Engineer is responsible for coordinating with all engineering disciplines, continuous improvement, Information Communication Technology (ICT) and Key Account Customers, utilising all Komatsu Systems. The Reliability Engineer is responsible for overseeing machine performance and productivity improvement, machine availability, reliability and continuous improvement, overseeing component reliability and life characteristics. As the Reliability Engineer you will provide input ad recommendations on improvement initiatives in regard to maintenance practices and procedures. Key Responsibilities: Analyse machine reliability by application / working conditions / environment / duty cycle. Conduct / facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on equipment or process issues as required by the business. Provide detailed statistical reports to clients for submission to Komatsu OEM factories / design departments. Compile detailed reports covering mode, frequency of failure and FMEA. Provide remote / onsite assistance to Key accounts on either maintenance practices or procedures. Attend key account customer meetings to assist on project status / requirements Evaluate historic trends and assist to find resolutions to client concerns on reliability, site or application specific. Conduct Quality related investigations, record the findings in Komatsu’s QMS system. Complete tasks assigned by Komatsu’s QMS system. (Ideally mechanical OR mechatronics) In depth knowledge of reliability engineering principles Be highly competent in the analysis of machine performance data to prepare statistical analysis reports on faults /System related problems A sound knowledge of commercial business practices. Highly competent on the matter of safety in the workplace and risk mitigation Experience in engaging customers at a high level Display a high level of self-motivation High level of written and oral skills Ready to get started?
