Job Overview: We are seeking a qualified Full-Time Engineering Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving company standards across all aspects of our operations. Key Responsibilities: Process Improvement and Optimization: Analyze current repair and modification processes to identify inefficiencies. Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality. Utilize engineering principles and cutting-edge technologies to optimize workflow and reduce turnaround time. Quality Control and Assurance Establish and maintain quality control procedures to ensure high standards of repair and paintwork. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Address and rectify any quality issues promptly and effectively. Ensure all processes and practices comply with safety regulations and company policies. Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to protect staff and customers. Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the team. Understands and values the social, environmental, and economic principles of sustainable practice and environmental responsibility. Technical Support and Training: Provide technical support and guidance to the panel beating and paintwork teams. Develop training programs to enhance the technical skills of team members. Ensure that all staff are up-to-date with the latest repair techniques and technologies. Stay updated with industry trends and integrate new technologies and methods into the company’s offerings. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including potential future development plans, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery. Coordinate with suppliers, clients, and internal teams to streamline project execution. Required Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an engineering technologist role within the automotive industry. Proficiency in using engineering software and other tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and leadership abilities.
