Description Job Description GHD has a career opportunity for a Structural Engineer to join our Structures team in Northern New South Wales . Based in Newcastle , you will join a close-knit team of fellow technical directors, other engineers and technical professionals who continue to service a strong portfolio of a variety of projects in the Infrastructure and Heavy Industrial markets for a range of public and private sector clients. This is a great opportunity for a Structural Engineer to join our expanding team. With experience in a similar role you will work on a portfolio of different projects, expanding the capability in the region and supporting the ongoing activities of a leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy. This role can be appointed on either a full time or part time basis. Key responsibilities will include; Prepare technical reports and specifications. Preparation of proposals and fee estimates for clients and structural input into large multi-discipline project proposals. Undertake site inspections to assess existing structures or to monitor construction activities against the design details and design intent. Mentor and support junior team members in undertaking the detailed design and documentation of projects.
