Applications Engineer to consult with clients and sales team to develop top of the line meat processing packaging equipment and solutions. Brisbane Your New Role Our client is seeking to find an Applications Engineer to work alongside and support the sales team in designing, project scoping, costing and providing the technical solution to the end user client. In this Brisbane based position, you will have the ability to take the project concept identified by the sales team, to the design phase and model the solution to ensure it meets the requirements and in line with budget constraints set by the client. The role will be actively involved with in-house support teams and product suppliers to gain technical specifications and best solutions to provide to clients to meet their automation meat processing and packaging needs. To be successful in this role you will possess the following skills and competencies: Engineering qualification - Mechanical Conceptual mindset and solutions focused Proven project experience highly regarded Experience of costing proposals/projects Automation/packaging industry experience in FMCG including Food/Packaging/Meat Processing Knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing environments Organised, detailed, calm and able to manage a high work load under pressure 3D CAD, SolidWorks and modelling experience Do you have what it takes? You will be a determined, driven, self-starter with a creative and a solutions driven mindset. You thrive on delivering deadlines and can prioritise workloads and high levels of client service. You will have a strong commercial focus and have experience taking concepts from an idea through to installation. Organised and calm under pressure you will also have the ability to form strong relationships with clients, team members and suppliers as input from all these will be essential in delivering your role requirements.
