Commissioning Engineer Why work with Evoenergy: · Salary starting at $143,896.00 16% superannuation allowances · Free gym membership onsite physio · Relocation allowance to support your move to Canberra · Ongoing, full-time position About the role: As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be part of a high-performing team that is responsible for the establishment and governance of the electricity network assets safe energisation and managing the performance & integrity of the Evoenergy network under normal and abnormal conditions. You will provide technical support in the context of the electricity network assets acceptance’s governance which is inclusive of the commissioning and testing activities associated with all new primary and secondary systems across Evoenergy Electricity Distribution and Transmission Networks. A day in the life: Support the Commissiong team to deliver: Commissioning documentation / drawings, including confirmation of protection schemes and settings to Network Operations and other stakeholders. Commissioning programs of work and final asset acceptance approval, ensuring HV substations equipment, embedded generations, overhead lines, and underground cables are commissioned in accordance with technical Standards and Specifications Strategies that ensure safe and reliable acceptance of assets on the network. Requirements that ensure safe and reliable customer connections to the network. Documented data management processes to ensure network as applied data capture (e.g. Assets details and customers connections information) Ensure HV Substations equipment, embedded generations, overhead lines, and underground cables are commissioned in accordance with the relevant network technical standards and specifications. Provide specialist guidance and advice to staff in relation to the commissioning of new assets on to the network. Incorporate industry best practices in relevance to: Standards and governance practices across the technical, engineering, design, and construction areas, to ensure regulatory compliance. Review, acceptance and commissioning of the network assets and connections. Support the network data and the real time management systems teams. Our ideal candidate: You have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (Power) or equivalent. You possess leadership skills and will lead by example. You have strong attention to detail and can monitor work to ensure accuracy. You apply strong analytical skills to evaluate problems or concepts to make decisions or recommendations. You are experienced in acceptance, appraisal and commissioning of assets, preferable in a high voltage electricity transmission and distribution environment.
