12 Month Contract possible extensions Ability to obtain a NV1 Clearance Sydney CBD Office WFH Flexibility Our Client, a large Federal Government Department responsible for protecting Australia's financial system is seeking a skilled Platform Engineer to join their team of highly skilled engineers. The team has operational accountability and responsibility for designing, deploying, monitoring and patching the departments foundational applications. The team is also responsible to work with the various scrum teams to deliver new and updated business applications into production, the majority of new applications being deployed onto Kubernetes . The Platform Engineer must have the following skills and experience: Infrastructure as code deployment experience onto Kubernetes (ideally with Kustomize); Kubernetes platform deployment experience (ideally with Kubespray); Strong Ansible skills. Git source control knowledge; Experience with Linux operating systems (ideally Ubuntu); Experience using Atlassian Jira/Confluence to manage work activities; Experience with either of the following technologies would be preferable, however is not required; Apache Proxy with mod_security; Forgerock OpenAM/IDM/DS; Additionally holding a Certificated Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification would be looked on favourably. All activities are required to follow modern Infrastructure as Code practices, leveraging automated CI/CD pipelines for deployments. All production infrastructure is on premise, cloud infrastructure is leveraged but only for development activities.
