As the Engineering Practice Leader, you will play a crucial role in driving the delivery of IT engineering to meet both near and long-term company goals. Your leadership will be key in developing and implementing engineering strategies, fostering a culture of innovation, and ensuring alignment with the company’s objectives. Responsibilities: Lead and engage the engineering team, focusing on hiring, training, and performance management to acquire, develop, and retain exceptional talent. Develop and implement engineering strategies that align with the company’s goals and industry best practices. Collaborate with product development to ensure product delivery aligns with strategic objectives. Advocate and drive the adoption of agile methodologies across the engineering team and the broader organisation. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to maintain competitiveness and innovation. Ensure compliance with internal and industry standards and regulations. Create a positive work environment that encourages innovation and creativity. Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders. Requirements: Proven experience (10 years) in IT engineering, focusing on large-scale and mission-critical systems. 5 years of people leadership experience. Extensive experience with cloud technologies and modern human-computer interfaces. Hands-on experience in back-end, front-end, and service-based development. Strong experience in solution and data architecture, including cloud, SaaS, and service-based architectures. Demonstrated experience in agile methodologies and their adoption. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. About You: Strong technical capability with a delivery focus and expertise in end-to-end software delivery. Ability to build relationships with external stakeholders, influence decisions, and encourage collaborative ways of working. Strategic and curious, with experience guiding teams through digital transformation. Experience in enterprise-level software development projects. Exposure to DevOps and best practices in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). Familiarity with microservice architecture and a strong C-based background in languages such as Java, .Net, JavaScript, Node.js, GoLang, Scala, Python. Experience with JS frameworks (React, Angular) and libraries (Redux). Knowledge of Blockchain, AI, Machine Learning (R), and Big Data is a plus.
