Role Overview: As a Project Engineer specialising in water code and council specifications, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and completion of our projects. Your expertise in technical specifications, cost tracking, and schedule management will be crucial to maintaining the high standards of our engineering projects. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning & Execution: Oversee and manage engineering projects related to water infrastructure, ensuring compliance with relevant water codes and council specifications. Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project requirements and objectives are met. Technical Specifications & Compliance: Review and interpret technical specifications, ensuring adherence throughout the project lifecycle. Stay current with industry standards, water codes, and council regulations. Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with technical and regulatory requirements. Cost Management: Track and monitor project budgets, including cost estimation, cost tracking, and cost comparison. Identify opportunities for cost savings and manage budget adjustments as needed. Prepare detailed financial reports and present them to project managers and stakeholders. Schedule Management: Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones and deliverables. Track project progress and adjust schedules as necessary to address delays or changes in scope. Report on project status and schedule adherence to senior management. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including reports, drawings, and correspondence. Prepare and present regular project updates and performance reports to stakeholders. Requirements: Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in project engineering with a focus on water infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of water codes, council specifications, and technical standards. Skills & Competencies: Proficient in project management software and tools. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance. Certifications: Relevant engineering certifications or memberships (e.g., Engineers Australia) are preferred.
