On behalf of Tera Telecom Pty Ltd, we are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Field Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis (38 hours per week). The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications systems and equipment. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work independently in diverse field environments. Position Responsibilities and Tasks: Conduct site surveys and assessments to evaluate installation requirements and systems performance, collaborating with project managers and other engineers to plan and execute fieldwork. Install, configure, and test telecommunications systems including fibre optics, wireless networks, and satellite communications. Read and review plans, designs, blueprints and MOPs, ensuring accurate implementation. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of telecommunications installations, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and repair faults and malfunctions in telecommunications infrastructure. Develop and maintain documentation for system installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures. Adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards during installation and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies. Provide technical support and guidance to clients and internal teams regarding system functionality and usage. Qualifications and Skills: Diploma in Telecommunications, Electronics Engineering, or a related field; or 3 years equivalent of industry experience. 2 to 3 years of proven experience as a Telecommunication Field Engineer or similar role. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Solid knowledge of relevant industry standards and safety regulations. Proficiency in using telecommunications test equipment and diagnostic tools. Hands-on experience with telecommunications systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between $70,000 - $95,000 p.a plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
