Seeking a structural/civil engineer to assist on commercial and civil projects. Our client is seeking an experienced structural/civil engineer to join their team in Sydney. This site-based role will focus on overseeing the construction of a civil project located in Sydney. Our client was established over 35 years ago our client provides retaining walls to the civil and commercial sectors of the construction industry. Our client works alongside Tier 1 and 2 builders & has a strong pipeline of projects. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of this project end-to-end and future projects in the pipeline. What you’ll need to succeed Bachelor of civil or structural engineering. Experience working in commercial or civil projects. Demonstrated leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to build successful teams and maintain strong relationships. Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to problem solve. Strong interpersonal skills and a track record of running site-based teams, liaising with clients and managing subcontractors. About the Role: Support the Project Manager with the technical, design & commercial aspects of your nominated project to achieve the project goals which include, the implementation of the necessary processes and procedures through the coordination of design and construction. Concept Design and Design Development Quality Commercial Processes & controls for construction projects Assist project teams in taking responsibility for the performance of the project's financial, time, quality & safety outcomes Engage with key stakeholders to achieve the business unit and project outcomes Comply with company policies and procedures Oversee the development and delivery of projects in a way that creates a sustainable competitive advantage Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety & environmental policies and procedures (WHSE).
