About the role We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic engineering technologist professional. The selected candidate will be expected to work independently and as a member of a team to provide technical support wherever needed. Responsibilities Provide engineering assistance to ensure technical procedures are properly implemented according to troubleshooting and maintenance process. Investigate and evaluate current work processes to identify area of improvements and implement changes to achieve better efficiencies and reduce costs. Analyse and evaluate energy system faults and defects to determine root-cause and apply appropriate maintenance measures according to technical specifications. Create and maintain detailed documentation for energy systems, processes, and troubleshooting procedures. Plan repair and maintenance schedules that comply with standard completion times. Document all requirements including drafting plans and modifications necessary to be made to ensure required outcome is achieved. Conduct research on new technologies and designs, or refine existing ones to meet current projects requirements and technological advancements. Core competencies and skills Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in an Engineering discipline. Minimum 5 years’ proven experience in a similar role. Proficiency in using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software packages. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to troubleshooting. Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure. Fast learner who understands and apply new knowledge and technique.
