About The Role: Lead the mechanical design process for building services projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Ensure all designs are efficient, sustainable, and compliant with industry standards and regulations. Oversee the entire project lifecycle from concept to completion, coordinating with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines to deliver successful outcomes. Provide advanced technical guidance and problem-solving skills to the design team, ensuring all project deliverables meet the highest quality standards. Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing relationships and ensuring their needs are met with innovative and effective design solutions. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, building codes, and standards, and ensure all designs adhere to the relevant regulations. About You: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or professional accreditation (e.g., CPEng, RPEQ) is highly desirable. A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in mechanical design within the building services sector, with a proven track record of leading complex projects. Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, with expertise in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and relevant calculation tools. Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and interact confidently with clients. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong commitment to sustainability and innovative design practices.
