Overview The purpose of the Production Engineer is to assist with engineering matters relating to planning, managing, and maintaining production methods and processes. A large focus of the Production Engineer is to manage and implement continuous improvement projects with the aim of reducing manufacturing costs, improving product quality and overall efficiencies. Daily Activities Implementing Continuous Improvement (cost reduction, processes, quality, constraints) Conduct work studies to identify improvement opportunities and set production standards. Working closely with the design engineering and production teams and provide technical support. Organising or coordinating the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment. Assist with ensuring that all critical equipment & process changes are properly validated. Assist operators with troubleshooting (quality, mechanical or process). Assist in ensuring employee Training, Competence and Safety in alignment with company SOP's. Keep up to date with current and developing engineering trends. Accept workload and willingly help others when required. Other duties as directed by your supervisor Education Tertiary qualifications in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Mechatronic, or similar) Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment Understanding of lean manufacturing or techniques associated with improving production process.
