Role: Cloud Engineer Contract Length: Until 30/06/25 (likely extensison) Salary: $135,000 - $149,000 p/a Location: Wollongong/WFH Role Overview: We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support a major government initiative, responsible for developing and deploying robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure solutions that align with organizational needs. This role offers a hybrid work model. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy secure, high-quality infrastructure as code solutions, ensuring adherence to the associated architectural designs. Implement best practices in automation, scaling, and disaster recovery, aligning with the latest cloud standards. Maintain and update documentation for code, platforms, and services to ensure they meet approved standards and reflect current configurations. Collaborate with Design and Architecture teams, providing feedback on performance, sustainability, and security within the existing infrastructure. Work with both legacy commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications and modern infrastructure as code environments, utilizing CI/CD pipelines and principles. Preferred Qualifications: Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure, with a particular emphasis on Azure services. Strong understanding of cloud security practices and compliance requirements, ensuring the protection, availability, and scalability of cloud-based services.
