Seeking a Senior Civil Construction Engineer (Team Lead) for a portfolio in the land development sector. A well-honed, modest, Aussie-owned business. The Company This is a long-established consultancy that delivers clever and practical urban development solutions across Victoria. The current construction team of five is being nurtured by a senior leader in the business. To allow that person to focus more strategically, we are looking for a Senior Construction Engineer and Team Lead, to provide technical input, to run their own project portfolio and to provide guidance to the team. The role – day to day Day to day will change as the role develops and you establish yourself in the group. You’ll be broadly covering the duties below: Conduct site inspections Review engineering designs for constructability Managing construction phase of projects – mostly land development. Contract admin Issue notifications to Water Authorities & Contractors to enable works Liaise with Clients, Contractors, Sub-Contractors, relevant Authorities And Support the other construction engineers with their work Mentor, guide and advise the team (impart your learning) Support the developing culture of the group Your own development The Operations Manager used to do this same job before he was promoted. You will be able to lean on and take technical guidance from him, as needed. You don't need to 'have it all' at the start; you'll continue to grow and develop. All about you We seek someone with experience in a similar position from a different consultancy. Water Authority (MRWA) accreditation is going to come in handy – WA1, WA2, SA1, SA2.
