We are seeking a Civil Engineer/Designer with intermediate experience who wishes to join a team like ours, and grow our capacity, through your experience in the detailed design, and the ability to be mentored to take on client and authority management of land development estates. The role is focused on the technical delivery of detailed designs and management of documentation for review by RPEQ engineers. The opportunity In this role you will report to the Civil Team Leader and be responsible for: - Technical and quality delivery of assigned detailed design/operational works projects - Managing and taking responsibility for commercial aspects of assigned projects and client relations - Direct preparation of concept and detailed engineering designs utilising 12d and AutoCAD software – you enjoy using 12d - Working closely with internal specialists across Traffic, Storm Water and Construction Management - Have the opportunity to become client facing and representing your skills and expertise, alongside other engineers and consultants, to collectively create long lasting outcomes - Being actively involved in RMA’s inclusive, high performance and enjoyable culture, whilst also having opportunities to explore our leadership pathways - Ad-hoc travel to our other offices About you To succeed in this role, you will have: 1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering 2. 3-5 years’ experience with Land Development Projects predominantly in delivery from DA approval to operational works approval (experience in site grading and infrastructure/TMR would be favourable) 3. Desire to obtain RPEQ 4. Ideally reasonable experience and knowledge of Queensland’s planning process and development standards (state and local) 5. Competency in 12d – including experience in dynamic 12d models 6. DRAINS, MUSIC and/or TUFLOW experience will be looked upon favorably 7. An eye for alternative solutions to generate attractive urban outcomes whilst focusing on project costs 8. The ability to focus on the detail, from an engineering perspective and constructability perspective 9. Demonstrated ability to maintain strong client and team relations 10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills 11. Experience in managing project budgets, forecasting and profitability 12. Demonstrated strong problem solving and analytical skills 13. Open unrestricted Driver’s Licence 14.
