Our mission to be bold and impactful How you'll contribute As a graduate software engineer on the Aura team, you'll accelerate our software delivery by automating tests for advanced geospatial workflows and 3D LiDAR visualisation. The Aura team at Emesent is dedicated to developing and enhancing the Aura product, a powerful Windows desktop application designed for processing and analyzing data captured by drones, vehicles, and backpacks. This is a 6-month contract position with a high likelihood of extension, based on performance and project requirements. Th ere is a possibility of extending the internship beyond this period, depending on the availability and progress of projects in the pipeline. Here's what we need Automated Testing Development: Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks for the Aura product, focusing on geospatial processing workflows and3D visualisation. Write, execute, and update automated test cases to ensure robust testing of new and existing features. Work with Python and web frameworks like React to build and enhance testing tools and environments. Work with front-end engineers to make UI improvements and fix regressions. Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Robot Framework, etc. Contribution to Team and Product: Collaborate with senior engineers to integrate automated tests into continuous integration pipelines. Work with manual testers to identify, isolate, and troubleshoot software issues and create automated tests to improve the team's development lifecycle. Participate in design and code reviews to learn best practices and ensure high-quality code standards. Learning and Skill Development: Gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies in software development and automated testing. Engage with a team of experienced engineers who will guide your growth as a professional software developer, providing insights into best practices and advanced software development techniques. How you'll succeed Knowledge of Python and familiarity with web frameworks such as React. C++ knowledge is desirable but not required. Strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to work on complex projects. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a conscientious approach to work. Demonstrated ability to deliver successful individual and group projects. Experience with UI test frameworks and Jenkins. Knowledge of identity and access control systems and standards.
