We are currently seeking an experienced Wintel Engineer to join our client's dynamic team in Sydney on a 6-month contract with an immediate start. Role Overview: The Wintel Engineer will be responsible for managing and supporting the Windows Server infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows technologies and a proven track record in maintaining complex IT environments. Key Responsibilities: Server Management: Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, including DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory (AD). Virtualization: Administer VMware environments, including VM creation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage Veeam backup solutions to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery. System Monitoring: Utilize SCCM and SCOM for monitoring, patching, and ensuring system health. Disaster Recovery: Design, implement, and manage Zerto DR solutions. Certificate Management: Manage Microsoft Certificates and ensure compliance with security protocols. Identity Management: Support ADFS On-Premise solutions for secure authentication and authorization. Hyper-Converged Infrastructure: Administer Nutanix environments for optimal performance and scalability. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation of IT infrastructure. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures. Key Requirements: Proven experience as a Wintel Engineer or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, and AD. Hands-on experience with VMware and Nutanix. Proficient in using SCCM and SCOM for system management. Experience with Veeam backup solutions. Expertise in Zerto DR and ADFS On-Premise. Familiarity with Microsoft Certificates. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Relevant certifications such as MCSE, VCP, or equivalent. Experience in large-scale enterprise environments. Familiarity with ITIL processes.
