Great opportunity for a Traffic Engineer passionate about road safety to join a council for an initial 4 month contract. Aspect Personnel are working with a council in Melbourne's Outer South East to recruit a Traffic Engineer for an initial 4-month contract. The primary focus of the role will be to investigate and implement road safety solutions, with an emphasis on improving motorcycle safety. A hybrid working arrangement is available. As a Traffic Engineer, you will be responsible for: Providing engineering recommendations for traffic, parking, road safety, and public transport issues. Investigating, analysing, developing, and implementing road safety solutions. Working with internal and external stakeholders to deliver road safety projects. Writing reports. Responding to enquiries from local residents. As the ideal candidate, you will have: A degree in Civil Engineering or relevant experience/qualifications. Experience working as a Traffic or Transport Engineer, preferably within Local Government. Experience in road safety projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A current driving licence.
