The successful candidate will assist with overseeing and managing projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Project Engineer will work closely with other team members, including project managers, engineers, and technicians, to ensure that all project objectives are met.The role is based in our Melbourne office with site visits required but is not a FIFO role. Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project objectives, scope, and schedule. Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analysis for proposed projects. Develop engineering designs, specifications, and drawings for various project components. Coordinate and participate in engineering analyses, such as structural, electrical, and mechanical assessments. Prepare project plans, including work breakdown structures, resource allocation, and critical path analysis. Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and implement corrective actions as needed. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory standards, codes, and guidelines. Review and approve project contracts, change orders, and invoices. Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, including field personnel. Conduct regular project meetings to communicate updates, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with key stakeholders. Prepare and present project reports, including status updates, performance metrics, and financial analysis. Coordinate with procurement to identify and acquire materials, equipment, and services required for project execution. Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and correspondence. Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost optimisation, and risk mitigation. Qualifications and Skills: Valid Australian work rights. Bachelor's degree in an engineering field. Experience in project engineering preferably in an industrial or construction setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with project management software and tools is a plus. Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work under pressure. Flexibility to travel as needed for project site visits and meetings. Valid White Card. Valid Driving Licence.
