Chamonix IT Solutions is looking for talented On-Prem Infrastructure Engineers to join our dynamic team (hybrid working between the CBD, Outer Harbour and home). We have opportunities for individuals with expertise in Azure, VMware, and a variety of networking technologies. These roles offer a chance to work on greenfield projects, modernising and securing infrastructure environments Project 1 (Infrastructure accessibility modernisation) Core Skills Required: • Azure Infrastructure • Windows Server • Linux Server (RHEL and Ubuntu) • VDI (Azure Virtual Desktop) • Networking (PaloAlto Firewalls, Cisco/Aruba switching and wireless) Project 2 (migration involving both on-prem systems and hybrid cloud solutions) Core Skills Required: • VMWare Infrastructure Services (vSphere 7) • Windows Server • Linux Server (RHEL and Ubuntu) • VDI (VMWare Horizon) • Networking (Fortinet Firewalls, Cisco/Aruba switching and wireless) Responsibilities: • Design, install, configure, and manage Microsoft Windows Server environments, ensuring system security, stability, and scalability. • Administer and support Active Directory services, including Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and domain management. • Implement and administrator hybrid synchronisation technologies such as Microsoft Entra Connect/Microsoft Entra Cloud Sync to support hybrid cloud deployments for Microsoft 365/Azure. • Manage and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring data integrity, performance tuning, and disaster recovery planning. • Oversee virtualization environments using VMware vSphere, including the deployment of virtual machines and management of resources. • Implement and manage VDI Solutions such as VMware Horizon and Citrix • Configure and maintain Load Balancers (e.g., F5, Kemp) • Maintain robust Network Infrastructure Cisco/Aruba wireless solutions, switching, and routing. • Manage Firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet) • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure projects and troubleshoot complex issues.
