About the role This role will involve taking responsibility for various electrical engineering services across a variety of sectors including health, education, commercial, urban, civic and recreational. The role will include: Providing electrical engineering representation for our Cairns office; Electrical design, inspections, assessment and reporting; Liaising with clients on projects and potential projects; Interacting with our broader team for successful project delivery; Contributing to the national structural engineering team; Learning and professional development; Innovative thinking. About you The following attributes are essential for this role: Tertiary qualification in electrical engineering (recognised by Engineers Australia) Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical engineering (although applications from more experienced engineers are strongly encouraged) Sound understanding of Australian Standards and NCC Sound experience in the technical design of building services Sound experience in preparation of design, specifications, reports, calculations, drawings, cost estimation and details/schedules for projects. Sound experience with electrical and lighting design software such as Powercad, and AGI32, LightingCAD, or DIALux. Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members Ability to engage and communicate with a broad range of clients and stakeholders A drive to contribute ideas and improve structural processes and systems Alignment with our company values The following skills attributes will be highly regarded: RPEQ, CPEng or other similar qualification; Experience in the NQ market; Experience in health / government projects; Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
