Senior Data Engineer (NetSuite) - Contract Brisbane, Queensland Contract, Hybrid (3 days in-office) About Us: We are a leading private professional services consulting firm in the mining sector, headquartered in Brisbane with offices in Sydney, Perth, and the Hunter Valley. Our diverse team of around 110 staff excels in science and engineering. As our IT and technology landscape scales significantly, we are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team for the implementation and support of Oracle NetSuite ERP, CRM, and Analytics Warehouse solutions. Role Overview: As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be instrumental in cleansing and migrating data from legacy systems to our new Oracle NetSuite ERP and Analytics Warehouse. Your role involves designing scalable data architectures, creating Master Data Management solutions, and supporting the delivery partner in standing up the NetSuite Analytics Warehouse. You will be the technical backbone of our data initiatives, ensuring data is well-modelled for reporting and analytics. Key Responsibilities: - Analyse data in existing legacy systems and build migration plans for Oracle NetSuite ERP and Analytics Warehouse. - Design and implement Master Data Management solutions. - Model enterprise data for analytical purposes, ensuring reuse and scalability. - Write and execute UAT test plans and test cases for data migration. - Build and implement data governance policies and strategies. - Understanding of organisational change management (OCM). - Create data profiling, data cleansing, and data engineering frameworks. - Manage data in various formats, such as flat files, APIs, JSON, and RDBMS. - Deliver training and advice to users on leveraging AI technologies such as Microsoft Copilot for Office 365 in data management. - Collaborate with the implementation vendor and internal teams to ensure seamless data integration. Qualifications and Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field OR equivalent industry experience - Minimum of 8 years of experience in enterprise data management, data migration, and data modelling. - Proficiency in SQL (Python highly regarded) - Experience with Oracle NetSuite ERP and NetSuite Analytics Warehouse is essential. - Strong understanding of dimensional modelling and scalable data architectures. - Demonstrated ability to design and implement data governance strategies. - Experience with data profiling, data cleansing, and data engineering frameworks. - Agile/Scrum experience is essential. - Financial management/accounting experience is highly regarded. - Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Self-starter with the ability to work independently. - Alignment with our core values of respect for colleagues and clients.
