Thriving Urban Consulting firm is looking for a proficient Civil Engineer to work with clients and manage projects in their West Gippsland office. Looking to add value closer to home, to work on local projects and provide support to your own community? This is a new venture, with a well-established consultancy. If you're local to Warragul, and looking for a leadership role (or think you could step into one soon), this is rare. It absolutely needs local presence. If you don't have connections into the south east and know the community challenges in this area, I recommend this one isn't for you. If you do, it's a no brainer. Why this role? The job has progression opportunity in droves. It's with an established urban development business who works with the surrounding local councils (predominantly Baw Baw), with large, known urban developers and smaller, private enterprises. Their portfolio of work is in both greenfield and brownfield projects. There's breadth and diversity here. The company has opened a new office to provide a shop-front to the local community. They have an existing client base and are looking for someone with 8-20 years' experience who can take lead on developing their local presence. This role is suited to someone new to leadership and equally well to someone experience. We don't need grey hair, but we welcome it if that's where you're at. You might be an up-and-comer who simply loves the region and doesn't want to commute to metro Melbourne or the city three times a week. What is the role? It's an engineering consulting role in the civil engineering space, with a land-based business. You'll be putting together fee submissions, tender documents, doing some design of your own, managing projects, ordering office supplies, opening the office, locking up, representing the business in the local market, networking as needed. There's an existing team close by in another office who will support your journey with their presence. The idea is to build this office to a team of ten within 2-3 years. There's plenty of potential which can be disclosed more eloquently in a phone call. About you I hope by now you'll read that we are seeking someone local to 3820. You'll need a civil engineering degree too. Any other qualifications such as DAS accreditation, NER registration, chartership, construction auditing, RSA etc., will be well received. This role will be fun. It's new. It's not developed in full but you'll be supported all the way.
