We are seeking an Intelligent Transport Systems/Telecommunications Engineer to join our ITS Team, forming part of the Transport & Civil Infrastructure business group in Adelaide. In this role you will be involved in undertaking ITS, security and telecommunications project planning, design, documentation and contract management for not only the local, South Australian team but also the broader, national business. You will be working as part of our highly experienced team delivering a wide range of projects primarily in intelligent transport systems, security and communications, but also transport planning, traffic engineering, transport modelling, smart transport, and transport design. The role may be relevant if you have experience in any of the following disciplines: IT/Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic, Mechatronic, or Civil. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Undertake ITS, security and telecommunications project planning, design, documentation and contract management. Leading engineering design, documentation, reviews, specification and report writing for ITS, security and telecommunications projects. Providing input and support on construction phase projects including inspections, reports, and testing/commissioning activities. Project Management of ITS, security and telecommunications projects within the ITS Team. Assist with the growth of technical capabilities and work opportunities within GHD’s target market sectors What would you bring to the team? A Bachelor of Engineering specialising in telecommunications, electrical/electronic, mechatronic, civil, security, or similar, relevant discipline, coupled with ideally, 5 years’ experience in a similar role or discipline. Proven experience and sound understanding of current ITS, security and telecommunications systems, technologies, and trends, including methods of installation, operation, and configuration, or transferable knowledge from an associated discipline. Experience in project management of smaller or routine projects, within the ITS, security, telecommunications, or technology disciplines.
