The Opportunity Based in Milton, QLD, the Undergraduate Chemical Engineering Intern is responsible for executing engineering activities and providing technical support to the business as required under the supervision of a charted chemical engineer. The position is expected to undertake duties that directly contribute to the success of the Company, while the incumbent receives valuable workplace experience in the summer months. Full time, fixed term position over the summer university holiday period Adhere to standardised general processes, procedures and supporting templates and tools across the Division, as directed, to enable Group wide consistency Assist with preparation of data and reports by visiting multiple Cleanaway facilities in the Greater Brisbane area Contribute to maintaining a respectful workplace for all employees Collaborate with the broader Engineering team to ensure deadlines are met Ensure duty of care obligations are met and that your conduct in the workplace always occurs in a safe manner Participate in training to obtain the appropriate skills and experience to safely and competently perform the role About You You will be a 3rd-year chemical engineering student (or equivalent) interested in gaining commercial process engineering experience (summer vacation work experience). The role requires driving to multiple sites to gather data to make equipment lists of fixed-plant, safety critical equipment, to load into Cleanaway’s computerised maintenance management system. Good communication and interpersonal skills are required to work with the various stakeholders on site at our operating facilities Highly organised with high standards of accuracy and precision Able to highlight workload constraints to assist with the prioritisation of activities Able to drive to multiple Cleanaway sites in the Brisbane area Strong safety values Why join Cleanaway?
