Our client in ACT, QLD, VIC seeks the services of OpenStack Engineer with NV1 clearance. Overview of Proposed Services An OpenStack infrastructure engineer is a technical role that involves designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure and services based on the OpenStack cloud computing platform. On-call or out of hours work may be required. Primary Technologies Red Hat OpenStack, Ceph Storage, Python, Red Hat Ansible, Red Hat Satellite, Linux (RHEL), GIT, RHEV 4, Grafana, Prometheus. Key duties may include, but are not limited to: Building and implementing Private cloud infrastructure solutions, including compute, storage, and networking components. Troubleshooting and resolving issues with Private Cloud infrastructure and services. Automating infrastructure deployment and management using tools such as Ansible and Satellite. Developing and maintaining custom scripts and tools to streamline operational tasks. Performing capacity planning and performance tuning for private cloud-based infrastructure. Collaborating with other teams, OpenShift, Data Centre Facilities Management, application and monitoring teams. Providing technical guidance and support to others. Selection Criteria Mandatory Criteria Experience with Linux administration. Experience with OpenStack. Weighted Criteria Experience with Red Hat Ansible. Experience with Red Hat Satellite. Experience with Python programming language Proficient with Software defined networking. Experience with Object Storage. Experience with Ceph Block Storage.
