Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Data QA Engineer to ensure the accuracy, quality, and reliability of data pipelines and systems. This role involves developing automated testing frameworks and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain data integrity and performance. Description Data Validation and Testing: Design and implement comprehensive test plans and cases to ensure data quality, integrity, and completeness in databases and ETL pipelines. Familiarity with testing methodologies like BDD and TDD is essential. Test Automation: Develop automated data testing frameworks using tools such as SQL and Python to streamline QA processes and improve efficiency. Data Integrity: Perform rigorous validation to detect data integrity issues, schema mismatches, and inconsistencies across the system. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Business Analysts to understand data requirements and ensure thorough test coverage. Performance Testing: Test the scalability and performance of data pipelines, ensuring they meet required throughput, latency, and stability metrics. Defect Tracking and Reporting: Document and track data quality issues through resolution using tools like Jira. Compliance and Security: Ensure data testing complies with security standards, regulations, and data governance policies. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest tools, technologies, and practices to drive ongoing improvements in data testing processes.
