Our Big 4 Banking client are hiring for a highly capable Senior Software Engineer - Java to join their organisation. In this role you will be joining a team focusing around the core areas of the Foreign Exchange (FX) and Fixed Income trading space. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team and wider organisation for a 12 month initial contract role, based in the Sydney CBD. Role Title: Senior Software Engineer - Java Contract Length: 12 month contract from initial commencement. Daily Pay: $900 - $1,000 Super per day. Location: Sydney CBD (2000)/WFH Hybrid Key Responsibilities: Working on the development of latency-sensitive algorithmic trading capabilities, sophisticated market-making systems and other tools to support trading and business operations. Working closely with quantitative traders and analysts to provide leading edge solutions for trading including price discover, smart order routing, algorithmic execution, etc. Being able to contribute to both system design and technical implementation using Java in a Linux environment. Required Knowledge and Experience: Strong Core Java development skills. However if you have an outstanding skillset with C++ and feel confident picking up Java, please apply; Well versed in Data Structures, complexity theory and Computer Science fundamentals; Strong analytical and communication skills; Experience in financial domain development; Highly motivated, and able to work with cross-functional team members. Desirable Knowledge and Experience: Some domain knowledge around Foreign Exchange or Fixed Income; Proven ability to deliver front office systems; Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field is an advantage.
