Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineering Manager to oversee our aviation maintenance operations on a FIFO basis, working on a 6/6 roster. The ideal candidate will ensure that all aircraft are maintained to the highest standards of safety and airworthiness, managing a team of engineers and technicians. You will be responsible for coordinating maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving operational efficiency. Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead and manage all aspects of aircraft maintenance engineering, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards while minimising downtime. Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to CASA, FAA, and EASA regulations, as well as internal company safety protocols. Develop, manage, and optimise maintenance schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks and minimising aircraft downtime. Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to conduct audits, inspections, and root cause analysis, ensuring continuous improvement in maintenance processes. Coordinate with external vendors, parts suppliers, and maintenance repair organisations (MROs) to ensure timely and efficient maintenance services. Ensure all technical documentation, maintenance logs, and work orders are accurate and up to date, complying with regulatory and internal requirements. Proactively identify risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring a safe and efficient operation across maintenance projects. Lead maintenance-related projects, such as fleet modifications or upgrades, ensuring timely completion and resource management. The Ideal Fit Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Demonstrated experience in aviation maintenance, with at least 2-3 years in a management role. Strong understanding of aviation regulations, including CASA, FAA, and EASA. Experience with aviation maintenance software and systems. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of leading teams and liaising with stakeholders. Financial acumen with experience managing maintenance budgets and resources.
