NV1 Clearance Required Can be performed from Canberra, Melbourne or Brisbane Work From Home Flexibility Our Client, a large Federal Government Department is seeking an OpenStack Infrastructure Engineer to join their team and be involved in designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure and services based on the OpenStack cloud computing platform. On-call or out of hours work may be required. Primary Technologies: Red Hat OpenStack, Ceph Storage, Python, Red Hat Ansible, Red Hat Satellite, Linux (RHEL), GIT, RHEV 4, Grafana, Prometheus. Key duties may include, but are not limited to: Building and implementing Private cloud infrastructure solutions, including compute, storage, and networking components; Troubleshooting and resolving issues with Private Cloud infrastructure and services; Automating infrastructure deployment and management using tools such as Ansible and Satellite; Developing and maintaining custom scripts and tools to streamline operational tasks; Performing capacity planning and performance tuning for private cloud-based infrastructure; Collaborating with other teams, OpenShift, Data Centre Facilities Management, application and monitoring teams; Providing technical guidance and support to others. Mandatory Criteria Experience with Linux administration; Experience with OpenStack; Experience with Red Hat Ansible; Experience with Red Hat Satellite; Experience with Python programming language; Proficient with Software defined networking; Experience with Object Storage; Experience with Ceph Block Storage.
