Seeking a Lead Firmware Engineer with best-in-class coding skills who wants to see his/her expertise and hard work translated into real-world systems My Client, a leading deep-tech company with a strong pipeline of work in the Defence and Space sectors, is seeking a Lead Firmware Engineer to join their rapidly growing team in Adelaide . With the Head Office based in Adelaide CBD, the successful candidate must either live or be willing to relocate to Adelaide . This could be a great opportunity to move to a new city where the cost of living, rent / house prices are a lot cheaper, but still be in an exciting, senior role, with lots of scope for career growth and progression. They are looking for someone with best-in-class coding skills who wants to see his/her expertise and hard work translated into real-world systems that make a difference. You will lead three other engineers but will still be very much hands on yourself. The split will be 80% engineering, 20% management. You will lead work across their pipeline of cutting-edge projects and products from quantum sensing to optical atomic clocks . The role will focus on owning all the software aspects of the product in the company . You will design firmware from concept to prototyping, product development, documentation, and support. It is essential that you have a good understanding of software solutions for control and integration of hardware modules. You will have specific experience in FPGA / SDR design and embedded ARM development. VHDL experience is also highly desirable , as is previous experience in defence electronic systems or satellite payload software development.
