This Manufacturing Client is a leading manufacturer and importer of water heaters for domestic applications, our client is part of the global hot water powerhouse, Noritz Corporation. With annual global sales of over $2bn, 15 manufacturing facilities located across Japan, China, and Australia and nearly 10,000 employees, Noritz provides our client with undeniable scale and hot water expertise. We are seeking a talented and experienced Process Engineer to join our engineering team. As a manufacturing process engineer you will be responsible for designing, implementing and managing machinery upgrades and capital expenditure projects. Your knowledge in process analysis will play a crucial role in enhancing product quality and your expertise in troubleshooting will also allow you to assist the maintenance and production teams to reduce downtimes and overall manufacturing costs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering principles, process improvement methodologies, and a passion for driving operational excellence. This role reports to the Engineering Manager and is based in Moss Vale, NSW. Responsibilities include: Design, implement and manage machinery upgrades, modifications and replacements; Manage projects from inception to completion including cost benefit analysis, design review, risk management, budget control, contractor management, implementation and commissioning of new components and machinery through Capital Expenditure works; Ensure equipment designs and processes comply with relevant standards, regulations and policies Assist maintenance/contract personnel to install and commission new and diagnose existing equipment Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting to resolve production issues, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process guidelines to ensure consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements. Manage new product introduction within Operations by collaborating with new, preparing the factory infrastructure and establishing the new processes required to manufacturer a new product range. Education: We're seeking tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics engineering. Evidence of remaining contemporary in their field of expertise will be well regarded. Experience and skills: Our Client can shape each role around the qualifications, experience and background of a candidate. Ideally the experience we are seeking can be summarised as follows: Proven SOLIDWORKS and DraftSight competency. Practical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment; Strong knowledge of engineering principles, process optimization methodologies, and lean manufacturing. Strong commitment to health and safety. Management of projects from concept inception through to project handover and this will include the development of capital project business cases, risk management and budget control. Dealing with internal stakeholders such as Maintenance, Operations, Quality and Supply Chain. Experience building relationships across different teams. Engagement with outside suppliers such as Tool makers. Desirable attributes: Pneumatic, hydraulic controls experience Mechatronics experience Understanding of SCADA systems, PLC and HMI programming Demonstrated ability to diagnose and problem solve in a time critical environment Proven methodical approach to process design and control.
