About the role: We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Project Engineer to provide project management assistance to the Engineering Manager at our Dardanup, WA landfill. This exciting new role will see you involved in the design, construction and rehabilitation of landfill and TSF cells. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the role involves: Reviewing technical aspects of landfill cell and TSF design and liaising with external consultants to ensure project design and construction efficiency. Assisting in communicating and dealing with Regulators to ensure site compliance to environmental regulations. Coordinating landfill cell and cap construction audits, preparing landfill airspace reports, and landfill and transfer station construction and development modelling Maintenance of all site and services plans and designs in .dxf or .dwg on Propeller platform and coordinating site survey works Coordinating capital and remediation expenditure applications and monitoring cost to budget About You The ideal candidate is an inspired, self-motivated Engineer with experience or a keen interest in landfill cell construction, TSF and rehabilitation projects and/or exposure to or keen to understand land fill gas management projects. Additionally, here’s a closer look at the key attributes we are seeking: A bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, Building Construction, Construction Management or equivalent CAD and Microsoft Project system knowledge Previous engineering experience in the civil construction industry preferably with geosynthetic lining systems. Previous experience in applying land surveying principles, engineering, hydrology and geological principles related to landfill construction Proven outcomes in resolving engineering issues, i.e. construction methods, design, engineering procedures, technical specifications etc Previous experience in the Design and construction of waste management infrastructure including cell construction and remediation will be well regarded, but not mandatory.
