Our Burnie-based client is seeking a dynamic and skilled professional to design, develop, and implement electrical systems and automation solutions, with a focus on automotive applications. About the role System Integration: Design, test, and integrate hardware and software systems, including PLCs, sensors, and actuators, to create robust automation solutions for automotive and mining applications. Innovative Design: Develop product design concepts, prepare design layouts, and perform necessary calculations, analysis, and simulations to ensure system reliability and functionality. Project Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including software and component delivery teams, to define and document system functionality, manage component defects, and ensure end-to-end system performance requirements are met. About you You are a systems engineer with a strong history of integrating hardware, software, and communication systems to solve real-world problems. An out-of-the-box thinker, you thrive on working through complex challenges and are driven to see solutions through to completion. You enjoy collaborating with team members and customers, taking pride in the quality of your work. Required Skills: Industry Experience: 3 years of experience in automotive or heavy mobile equipment systems, preferably with mining system remote control or machine autonomy systems. Technical Skills: Experience with Siemens PLC components, electrical system design, CAD 3D modelling, Ethernet network design, CAN bus design, and sensor integration. Educational Background: Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with demonstrated expertise in complex engineering and manufacturability concepts.
