As a Senior Software Engineer (Backend), you will leverage your experience to make a meaningful impact on initiatives and influence your peers. You will drive quality outcomes for our customers by combining strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to identify problems, research and tackle complex challenges, and lead the solution design and development of key projects that advance our mission and align with our broader engineering goals. You will collaborate closely with peers, product, design, and leadership to build outstanding products and features for the Deputy platform, delivering services to millions of users and businesses, from small and medium-sized enterprises to large corporations. Responsibilities - Make technical decisions, and deliver technical solutions. Use hands-on, technical expertise to drive solutions for a range of challenges. You will be writing code in this role. - Research, create POCs and introduce new technologies to the team. Advocate and adopt the latest trends, and enhance developer experience. - Uphold a high bar of engineering standards and co-ordinate with Infrastructure and Quality - Collaborate with Product and Design to discover and estimate solution options to key strategic initiatives - Accountability for delivering technical solutions within estimated timeframes - Operate in a get-things-done, value demonstrating, iterative manner - Influence and problem solve with Sr, Mid and Jr. engineers to deliver high quality outcomes.
