This is a remote position. Role and Responsibilities: A Platform Engineer in this role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the underlying infrastructure and platforms that support the organization's CDS (Cloud Data Services) solutions. This includes managing cloud-based data warehousing and analytics platforms. Key Responsibilities: Cloud Platform Management: Manage cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for CDS solutions. Provision and configure cloud resources (VMs, storage, networking). Implement and manage cloud infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform. Data Warehouse Administration: Administer cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery). Perform data modeling, ETL, and data integration tasks. Optimize data warehouse performance and query execution. Data Analytics Tools: Manage and support data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker). Implement data visualization and reporting capabilities. Data Governance: Implement data governance policies and standards. Ensure data quality and integrity. Required Qualifications: Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services. Experience with cloud-based data warehousing and analytics solutions. Proficiency in SQL and data modeling techniques. Knowledge of data integration and ETL processes. Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker). Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Certified Data Engineer). Experience with specific cloud-based data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery). Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks. Experience with data lake and data lakehouse architectures.
