POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Technician. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ● Involve in the initial stage of project surveys and investigations, assist in the planning and design of civil engineering works. ● Prepare construction drawings, design sketches, charts, tabulations, and plans for civil engineering projects and verify their accuracy. ● Estimate material costs and perform tests on materials, ensure finished works are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions. ● Oversee the advancement of civil construction projects, and guarantee adherence to project requirements and specifications. ● Inspect civil engineering works, and organise and supervise maintenance and repair work ● Pinpoint and address engineering technical issues and challenges, and offer inventive approaches to bolster project productivity and success. ● Stay aware of company goals and strategies to ensure projects align with business priorities. SELECTION CRITERIA ● Tertiary qualification ● At least 5 years of highly relevant experience in a similar role ● Strong knowledge of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) is a MUST ● Attention to detail and passion for safety, environment and quality of work ● Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints ● Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills ● High level of written and oral communication skills
