Civil Design role with a Council in Melbourne's North East. Contract role with the possibility of extension. Aspect Personnel have partnered with a council in Melbourne's North East to recruit an experienced Civil Design Engineer. This is a new role where you will have the opportunity to lead the design and delivery of a variety of civil infrastructure projects. Employed as a Civil Design Engineer, you will be responsible for: Coordination, planning design of road & drainage projects Engineering investigations Site Survey Civil Design Assessing and approving development plans Writing reports & project briefs Some project & contract management Liaison with various key stakeholders. As the ideal candidate you will have: A degree in Civil Engineering, or relevant qualifications/experience Proficiency with AutoCAD, and Civil3D Experience coordinating and managing the planning, design and delivery of Capital / Civil Works A solid understanding of Local Government Legislation and Best Practices Excellent written and verbal communication skills and negotiation skills Ability to work autonomously and solve complex engineering/ technical problems This is a great opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team in a great location.
