An exceptional opportunity for an experienced engineer to join a leading system integrator in tolling, ITS & tunnel management systems design, development and deployment. The Substation Secondary Systems Engineer is responsible for the electrical design of protection, control, communication, and auxiliary systems within substations. Key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to: Contribuite to the development of detailed design of secondary systems, including protection, control, communication, and auxiliary system layouts and wiring within substations. Contribute to the development of design reports, standards and manuals. Create and review technical documentation, including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, layouts, interlocking, cable schedules, and bills of materials (BOMs), as well as perform calculations and simulations to validate system reliability. Ensure designs adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, client specifications as well as safety and environmental guidelines. Collaborate with engineering teams, clients, contractors, and suppliers to gather requirements and ensure design feasibility. Requirements The preferred candidate will bring the following: Bachelor of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, information technology or similar. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in substation design, focusing on secondary systems. Proven track record of successfully delivering substation secondary design projects. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or equivalent. Knowledge of AS, IEC, IEEE, and other relevant standards. Strong understanding of electrical protection and control systems.
