We’re looking for a proactive Full Stack Software Engineer with a DevOps mindset to join our team on a 12-month contract. This role emphasizes backend technologies, utilizing AWS, .NET, and DevOps tooling, while also engaging in frontend development with React. You’ll play a key role in transforming a critical product that we’re rebuilding from the ground up, contributing to both project delivery and Business-as-Usual (BAU) operations. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement robust software solutions for cloud platforms, addressing complex technical challenges and driving continuous improvements with a DevOps mentality. Collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering clear communication and shared understanding across teams. Provide proactive technical support for cloud-based systems, ensuring rapid troubleshooting and service restoration to minimize downtime. Monitor and manage production environments with a focus on solid DevOps practices to enhance efficiency and reliability. Support essential applications, including the Process Safety Dashboard and Generation Data Warehouse, while ensuring data integrity and optimizing system performance. What will you bring? Your enthusiasm for advanced technologies, combined with your analytical skills and keen attention to detail, will distinguish you from the rest. You'll excel as a communicator, adeptly translating complex technical concepts into accessible language for non-technical stakeholders. With a solid foundation in .NET practices, alongside your proficiency in Python and expertise in AWS cloud solutions, you’ll challenge conventional approaches and continuously pursue excellence. You will also demonstrate: Foundational skills in .NET using the latest frameworks, patterns and best practices. Strong skills in Python, Relational Databases (including solid SQL skills and an application level) and automation tools. Recent and current experience in AWS developing serverless components (SQS, SNS, Lambda, API Gateway) and container driven workloads. Experience with IaC technologies like CDK, Terraform, SAM etc. Experience working in agile methodologies and a DevOps mentality to software delivery. Demonstrated expertise in taking complete ownership of projects, from analysing technical requirements to architecting, designing, and delivering solutions, and overseeing their ongoing operation. Desirable Skills: GitHub Actions or other CI/CD platform experience. Experience in React, demonstrating a solid understanding of component-based architecture and state management. Familiarity with hooks, Redux, and integrating APIs is a plus. Broader experience in AWS and other cloud technologies. Relational Database design experience.
