Your work here will help organisations of all shapes and sizes work smarter and grow faster. We are seeking a skilled Snowflake and Azure Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with specific expertise in Snowflake and Azure technologies. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data solutions. As a Senior Data Engineer in our Digital and Cloud Engineering team your impact will be seen by: Delivering production grade data and analytics pipelines using Snowflake and Azure Data Services to enable advanced analytics capabilities for our customers. Demonstrating thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success with a subset of the following technologies: Programming including but not limited to Python, SQL, Scala Proficiency in data architecture and modelling. Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage Accounts, Azure Key Vault, Azure functions and Azure Synapse Analytics. Knowledge of Snowflake's multi-cluster architecture, including virtual warehouses, storage, and compute separation. Experience with Snowflake's data loading and unloading processes, including the use of Snowpipe for continuous data ingestion. Understanding of Snowflake's data sharing capabilities to securely share data across different accounts. Experience in writing and managing stored procedures and user-defined functions (UDFs) in Snowflake. Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes. Data storage technologies including RDBMS, NoSQL, Hadoop, and cloud-based storages such as Azure Data Lake, Snowflake etc. Different storage formats e.g. Parquet, Delta, Iceberg etc. Working closely with business analysts, data scientists, enterprise architects and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions. Maintaining comprehensive documentation of data processes and systems. Helping clients to establish the right controls, processes and structures to ensure that deliverables are timely, consistent and of defensible quality About you You have a background in data engineering and are skilled in pipelining data between data generation and consumption technologies and hold an understanding of machine learning technologies, data governance and quality management, analytical methodologies and software development lifecycle Passionate about being at the forefront of change, you’re ready to help our Consulting team deliver practical advice that speaks straight to the heart of client business issues and deliver innovative results.
