We are seeking a Technical Advisor – Asset Performance (Water Networks Engineer) who will provide technical guidance and support in assessing the performance of our water supply and wastewater networks and presenting the risk and performance of our assets. With experience in the planning, design and/or operation of water and/or wastewater networks together with strong asset management and data analytics knowledge you will contribute to building a greater understanding of how our assets, systems and schemes are performing through investigation and data analytics. Based in our Leederville office and reporting to the Team Leader – Scheme Performance, this role will be part of a small team of scheme performance engineering-based professionals who engage widely across the business to support business reporting and investment decisions. Your demonstrated skills in technical report writing will allow our internal and external stakeholders to better understand the key risks and related treatment options to improve the performance of our assets on a whole of scheme basis. This is a permanent full-time position with a proposed start date of 25 th November 2024. What the role will offer: Based in Leederville, but working with others across the state, the successful candidate will lead investigations, monitoring, and data analysis to determine root cause of systemic asset and network reliability, performance and risk issues and provide guidance and input to strategic, planning, and operational solutions. Participate in and support the maintenance and uplift of asset management decision support tools and processes. Support and coordinate the delivery of asset and network monitoring programs to support demand, capacity, utilisation, asset management performance and risk assessments. Compile, publish and present asset and network performance reporting for the relevant asset portfolio to meet business level of service and compliance requirements. Support the management of project teams to deliver section or business unit outcomes. Coordinate and support asset and network data and information improvement initiatives. Real benefits that matter. Degree level qualification or post-secondary qualification plus experience in a discipline related to water and/or wastewater conveyance networks. Considerable experience in a range of the following; Conveyance network planning, design and/or operation Asset Management / Engineering Asset performance investigations, monitoring, analysis, and reporting Data analytics and visualisation techniques in presentation Process management Considerable and proven experience in problem solving, root cause analysis and issues resolution. Demonstrated investigative, analytical and report writing and presentation skills.
