There’s opportunity around every corner and the support to help you achieve your goals. About the role Based out of Orange, this role will form part of our Maintenance team. Our maintenance team is responsible for ensuring our equipment is on and running to support our client’s needs. They are a team of technically experienced individuals, with backgrounds in various engineering specialisations. The team are a cohesive global unit that work on rosters, with time onsite, time working from our office or home, and time off to recover and rest (wellbeing is important to us). The team is regularly working with our project managers, physicists, and is responsible for being our face to the customer. What you will do: Maintenance and service of PhotonAssay units onsite in Orange. Scheduled monthly maintenance as well as responding to breakdowns on short notice to minimise downtime and maximise availability. Technical support service for the installations via telephone, email and remote computer login for troubleshooting and performance checks during and out of office hours as agreed. This will involve liaising with support staff at Chrysos’ headquarters and our technology partner in China. Training of the customer on the safe operation and maintenance of the equipment. Spares inventory management on site. Completing maintenance and spares documentation and providing feedback to customers. Assisting in the development and continual improvement of the processes associated with the maintenance and service of PhotonAssay systems. Assisting in the installation and commissioning of new installations. Supporting the development of a strong WHS and inclusive culture. Who you are: Essential Demonstrated experience in maintaining technical equipment. Safety first focus. Strong customer service ethos and problem-solving skills. Able and willing to travel and work within Australia and overseas, including at remote locations such as mine sites. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Rights to work in Australia Current Driver’s Licence. Full COVID-19 vaccination status according to Australian Government in line with our customer site requirements. Familiarity with office productivity software such as Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Already residing in Orange or surrounding region Desirable College or university education (preferably electrical, electronic, mechanical or mechatronic) or a closely related technical discipline Customer Service and Field Service experience in the mining or mineral sector (or related) processing industries. Demonstrated experience in fault finding in electro-mechanical equipment. Hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas: electrical wiring and safety, power distribution, mechanical maintenance and repairs; basic electronics; metal-working; engineering drawing and design. Experience in product development and the manufacturing sector. Personal attributes Respect – for everyone with due regard for their feelings, wishes or rights.
