Job Description : · Core Responsible for ensuring the delivery of all Designs for 5G EPC, 5G IMS and Interconnect management, with Implementation of the solution. · Perform vendor management for any outsourced design services, ensuring wrap-around design continuity towards VAS, Service Layer, IP, IT, and Service Delivery, as well as towards Test and Ops for both strategic and development change for the Core Networks . · Collaborate with VAS and Core Solution team to ensure end-to-end 5G design management. · Collaborate with UTRAN and Transmission team to ensure end-to-end 5G design management. · Collaborate with Core Programme Delivery team to ensure that Project and Programme Plans are built up in a realistic manner that takes into account all internal and external dependencies to the Core Network, and that uses realistic but aggressive delivery timelines. · Collaborate with the Test Function to ensure the team are directly involved in testing, or indirectly observing the tests being performed per project, to ensure ERN (Engineering Release Notes) can be approved. · Collaborate with Core Operations to ensure design process outputs are translated into accuratenode configuration and Method of Procedure integration documentation. · Excellent working knowledge of EPC/IMS/5G architecture, interfaces and procedures, with understanding of key 5G associated technologies and functionality including IMS, RCSe, VoLTE, SRVCC and CSFB. · Should be familiar with SAE (System Architecture Evolution) of 3GPPs 5G standards. · Should be conversant with development, design and implementation strategies from legacy 2G/3G systems into 5G/EPC systems · Good working knowledge of 3GPP, IETF and GSMA standards and architectures. · Design and deployment experience of key network systems/nodes (for example MME, S GW, P-GW, HSS , PCRF, e-PDG etc) through the full delivery lifecycle from initial design to full operational handover. · Working knowledge of IP networks, preferably with experience with the prime IP vendor equipment (Cisco/Juniper etc) · Microwave solution design and implementation
