An Infrastructure Systems Engineer position to support an Apple / MAC focused environment, along with some modern Microsoft / Windows tech stacks We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Systems Engineer with expertise in Apple & MAC technology environments and experience with JAMF, and don’t be surprised if there is a little bit of Microsoft & Windows tech to support at the same time. In this role, you'll be responsible for shaping and maintaining the Enterprise Infrastructure environment, ensuring uptime of the IT operations, and implementing new technologies that align with the ongoing business needs and technology evolution, which involves new deployments of technology services and a lot of migration type projects. You’ll also support mentoring and acting as the escalation point for a team of Desktop Support Engineers and IT staff. Key Responsibilities: Assess and optimise current IT systems to ensure they are meeting the company's goals and technical requirements. Work collaboratively with stakeholders to align infrastructure planning with broader business strategies and needs. Work in partnership with the technology team for the deployment of new IT services and support ongoing projects, leading the implementation of infrastructure-related projects from start to finish, ensuring smooth execution. Manage compliance with data governance regulations and ensure software licensing is up to date. Design and implement security measures to mitigate risks across the IT environment. Continuously evaluate and enhance IT processes to support growth and efficiency, and assess user experiences and propose infrastructure solutions that fit the company’s evolving needs. Your Background: Significant experience in a Senior Infrastructure Engineer type role working within medium to large organisations. Expertise in supporting and managing Apple & MAC technology environments with exposure to JAMF tools , alongside solid knowledge of Windows OS, VMWare, Active Directory, Azure AD, Wi-Fi, Backups, Firewalls, and cloud technologies like SCCM, Intune, and Azure Cloud. A track record of managing infrastructure projects, from planning to implementation. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical details into business-friendly language. Professional certifications such as ITIL, MCSA, MCP, VCP or similar will be highly regarded.
