About the opportunity This Lending Service is on a mission to provide an end-to-end customer centric, modern and secure platform. The Lending Platform. built homegrown with several microservices & Camunda Workflow applications that’s bolstered by automated operational services. Reporting to the Service Owner, you will be responsible for the design, development and support of the Lending Platform & Microservices API applications hosted on the cloud for its entire lifecycle. As a member of a cross functional team (squad) and will be accountable to design, develop, test, deploy and manage codes. This role will support the Iteration management function in the efficient execution of each iteration and will work closely with the test function to ensure effective flow of work and that the iteration commitments are met. As a Software Engineer you’ll get to… Lead and develop best practices related to cloud engineering, backend engineering, API & Microservices. Plan, design, implement and support of Lending Platform, API, microservices, apps and CI/CD pipelines. Apply effective and appropriate Incident, Problem, Configuration, Change and Release Management according to technology and Group standards Be responsible for IT Service continuity and production/application support in line with SLA s and ensuring that all elements required to restore their service are known and in place in the event of a crisis. Be able to articulate the value of your service in terms of the business service delivered and the associated value over time. Providing relevant and timely support to projects including working with our Partners. What you’ll bring to the role You will have a solid technical background on Javascript, Java, Spring Boot framework, AWS services and CI/CD pipelines. To be successful in the role you will have: Planning, designing, implementation and support of Backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and with RESTful API & microservices is a must. Experience with node.js is desirable. Experience and knowledge about Camunda, Temporal workflow engine is essential. Managing test environments in accordance with enterprise security architectures. Deploying and debugging solutions and service offerings in accordance with best practices throughout all stages of their lifecycle. Educating teams on the value of using DevOps tools & practices.
