Job Title: Cloud Platform Engineer Location: Sydney CBD (On-site, 4 days per week) Duration: 12 Months Project Description: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Platform Engineer to join our clients team for a 12-month project based in Sydney CBD. This role requires on-site work 4 days per week and focuses on creating a proof of concept for an AWS Landing Zone. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage the AWS Landing Zone to ensure a secure, scalable, and efficient cloud environment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define the architecture of the environment. Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Implement best practices for security, compliance, and cost management within the AWS environment. Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders. Conduct regular reviews and updates to ensure the project meets evolving business needs. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the cloud infrastructure. Qualifications: Ability to design and architect complex, scalable and highly available cloud solutions. Strong in-depth knowledge and experience with AWS (while experience with other cloud platforms and services (such as Azure and Google Cloud) would be an advantage Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements in cloud environments. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar certification. Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
