The Internet and Mass Infrastructure (I&MI) Team's mission is to have a broad impact on the Cisco sales organization. Our organization is adopting innovative approaches and methodologies for pre-sales and post-sales. In this role, you will lead a team of highly technical Solutions Engineers who are focused on the more sophisticated presales and upsell engineering motions. You will be responsible for setting the technical vision and strategy for I&MI in APJC, identifying expertise to grow the team, and facilitating key partnerships between the customer and internal organizations. This is an ideal position for someone who has a consistent record of building and scaling high-performance solutions engineering teams. You will have the opportunity to join a diverse team of highly engaged critical thinkers. What You Will Do: The Global I&MI team is investing in a solution-focused approach. We are seeking an experience Leader for this organization who will be focused long term on: - Execute the technical vision and strategy for the Global I&MI solutions engineering team for the APJC region: working closely with the Global Director of I&MI Solutions Engineer, the Sales leader for I&MI, and the other I&MI Solutions Engineering Leaders to ensure alignment across both sales and engineering priorities. - Identify technology trends that impact the evolution of I&MI architectures and proactively partner with Sales leadership on how to address with Cisco customers - Evaluate and identify appropriate emerging technologies and platforms for potential use in meeting I&MI customer needs.??? - Establish key performance indicators for all direct reports that are geared towards the development of solutions based on customer architectures - Work in a consultative fashion with other engineering leaders in I&MI and across Global Sales Specialists on cross-functional projects where needed - Oversee the team as they develop the next generation of demos, solution-focused collateral, messaging, and technical sales engagement motions for these solutions and scaling them globally. - Working with other members of the Global I&MI team to provide input on demo, lab, PoV plans, roadmaps, and business and technical solutions content and messaging to ensure that we incorporate field facing experience and exposure. - Mentoring the field through enablement and field sales engagements. - Partner with Cisco Provider Connectivity Business Development team, CMO, and field teams to help gain logos in strategic accounts. - Partner with the I&MI Center of Excellence, Business Development team, CMO, and PM teams to develop solutions-oriented content collateral and messaging for the use cases mentioned above as well as others. - Develop content for and present at internal and customer facing events such as our global sales kickoff (Cisco GSX), generalist and specialist SE training events, Cisco Live, and ecosystem partner events. - Direct customer interactions supporting field sales to drive Cisco strategy and solution preference throughout the sales cycle as well as supporting EBCs. - Gather and consolidate a global customer and Industry perspective to drive product strategy and roadmaps with product management, as well as technical messaging with marketing as the voice of the customer. Who You Are: - BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent. MBA or equivalent highly desirable. - 10 years related experience in I&MI technology areas such as Automation, Assurance, Networking and Optical solutions. - 5 years of management experience. - Cisco experience highly desired. - Knowledge of relevant solutions sets, product line specifications, performance criteria, and applications. - Strong desire to learn and drive solution sales motions at a regional level with global coordination - Ability to explain sophisticated technical solutions and their business value to a wide range of audiences, from Account Executives to Specialist SEs internally and from end users to customer executives externally. - Strong executive presence and ability to present strategic information to a broad range of audiences - Strong collaboration, influencing and facilitation skills, ability to influence and lead outside of organization and across roles and functions - Works independently and participates primarily with senior management and executives - Willing to travel up to 30% of the time.
