Our client is seeking an Engineering Manager to join their team in Welshpool . About the opportunity Reporting to the State Manager, this role will provide you with the opportunity to identify and develop strategic initiatives that will provide direction to projects and activities of switchboard manufacturing in Perth. As the Engineering Manager, you will: Direct department activities to design new products, modify existing designs, and improve production techniques Analyse technology trends, human resource needs, and market demand to plan projects Work closely with upper management, operations, and the planning department to determine engineering feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products Prepare budget requests and forecasting operational costs, oversee technical support and troubleshooting problems Serve as a technical advisor on the execution of engineering projects and recommend solutions Manage, support and mentor the internal estimator Maintain a positive rapport with clients and suppliers Establish and implement developmental goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures About you To be successful in this role, you will: Strong knowledge of the AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 61439 What’s on offer This role will provide you with the opportunity to be at the forefront of developments in switchboard engineering.
